My motivation

is to change the face of men's health. My father had prostate cancer but fortunately managed to beat it as it was diagnosed early. Unfortunately now, he is battling cancer again and is undergoing regular Chemo. Thousands of men die each year from this disease and therefore we need to raise awareness!! Over the last couple of years, I've lost my Mum-in-law and a couple of good friends to cancer and therefore I dedicate this year's efforts to those that are sadly no longer with us.

That was last year’s profile - I’m now sad to say I lost my father in March to cancer and it sucks. He was my mate, my mentor, my hero, but above all, my dad.

I also dedicate this year’s efforts to my uncle Bob and an old friend, Paul Narramore, who are both currently fighting cancer.

Again, I am determined to work hard to raise money and awareness for mens’ health issues. It’s funny…….the older you get, the more this shit hit’s home!

Then there’s mental health. Far too many people suffer in silence because they’re either too proud or embarrassed to talk. Far too many men take their own lives through depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc when all they need is someone to reach out to, or someone to reach out to them.

If you need to talk - check in with me. The kettle’s on.

I walked 10.5 km

Last one of Movember. Smashed the targets twice!! I’ll keep moving though. Seems a hundred miles a month is pretty achievable!!

35 Week(s) Ago

A big thanks to Bristol Bears who invited Movember over to talk men's health, moustaches and rugby. The month may almost be over, but the conversations don't stop.

36 Week(s) Ago
I walked 11.8 km

Massive run around site today, followed by old bugger ruggers. 11.8 clicks in the bag!!

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday!
End the month with a bang and encourage your generous friends, family and colleagues to boost your fundraising efforts on the most charitable day of the year. Why not try the Facebook Fundraiser button on your page if you haven't already done so?

Sports teams across the UK have raised almost £400,000 as I write. Leading the way for the teams are Farnham RUFC, Ironsideburns & Addix Fitness. Jamie Settle, Joe Stokes & Chris Hall head up the individual leader board. Well done all!

Forgot to log yesterday. Another 10k in the bag moving around sites. Getting close to the target now!! If Kevin Sinfield can do it in a day, then I’ve got no excuse for not doing it in a month!!

36 Week(s) Ago
I ran 14 km

Proper run this evening plus running around and in between construction sites at work. Trying to minimise the use of the car!!

37 Week(s) Ago

Busy day of movement at work today!! Walking between sites wherever I can.

37 Week(s) Ago

A huge thanks to all our rugby Mo Bros & Mo Sisters who have raised over £100,000 this year. Epic! Where will your team finish in the league table?

On Saturday Mo Bros Rugby are playing a charity game down at Richmond. If you're in the area come on down.

Are you hosting an event for Movember?

I walked 10 km

Another 10k in the bag!! As usual, a wee meander down to the club with some other stuff on top!

It's mid-month and the Mos are coming through strong. Farnham RUFC lead the way in the Sports Challenge fundraising leaderboard as I write, but where do you feature?

Don't forget to thank your donors and give potential donors an extra incentive to donate; an example of a Movember funded project, a special thanks from you, or simply because of the terrible itch your moustache is giving you. Thanks sporting Mos, we are over £200,000 raised and going strong!

Good afternoon sports fans and happy Movember 1st!

Whether you are growing, running, cycling, lifting or doing something completely different to raise funds and awareness, best of luck!

Share this video and your motivation for taking part.

Grow your Mo, grow your team and have fun doing good.

Why do you Mo? Bristol Uni football team are taking part in Movember in memory of a teammate. Share your motivations with your network and build your team for the campaign. Click the share buttons on your team page and spread the word.

Hi Jamie

I wanted to get in touch personally to say thank you for your amazing fundraising so far – you’re a Mo Legend! We truly appreciate it, this year even more than ever.

I'm so sorry for your loss, thank you for supporting Movember in honour of those no longer with us.

Because of you, we are able to change men’s lives with tools such as Movember conversations - an interactive platform that gives you the skills and confidence to approach difficult conversations. Check it out at conversations.movember.com

Thank you – keep up the great work!

Next weekend we want to see your Match Day Mos, your moustache at its finest. Dye your Mo (or draw one in team colours) and share on social, tagging @Movember. Show us your #MatchDayMo, raise some dough and help change the face of men’s health.

Thank you to all the rugby teams that have taken part in Movember this year. Together, you’ve raised over £200,000. You can be incredibly proud of your contribution this far.

We freeze the leaderboards on Movember.com at 10pm on the 7th of December. If you’re looking to beat your local rivals in the challenge, get your donations in before then. You can still pay in donations all year round. Shout out to our top three teams so far, Aberdeen University, UCL and Northampton Saints- sterling efforts.

If you need any assistance, please get in touch with Mo HQ at info.uk@movember.com or call 0207 952 2060.

Thank you.

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
