The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive

On Sunday, 29 September 2024, thousands of dapper gentlefolk will come together to drive their classic cars in cities around the world. Their mission: to raise funds and awareness for men’s health.

Drive for men's health

Founded in 2021 as a natural offshoot of the famous Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive is an on-road motoring event that showcases classic cars (cars that are 40 or more years old). Vintage car owners and enthusiasts are encouraged to dress dapper and drive for men’s health, with thousands of drivers rallying in cities around the world.

Movember is the Drive’s official charity partner. Funds raised are invested in vital research and initiatives for prostate cancer and men’s mental health, supporting the wellbeing of men around the world.

What classic cars are eligible?

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive is for vehicles that are 40 or more years old. It’s all about connecting classic motoring enthusiasts with dapper charm at an event that is unique and spectacular.

Eligible vehicles in The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive must be designed and initially manufactured before December 31, 1984 (with some exceptions for replicas and identical run-on models). This ensures that all participating vehicles are in the spirit and style of the event.

Vehicles should of course be registered, insured, and in good mechanical condition. Check out the car guide if in doubt.

How to dress dapper

Participants and their passengers dress in a way that embodies the theme of the event: the style and finesse of a bygone era.

Imagine sharp and dapper attire that complements the elegant design of their vehicles. That means classy and stylish, dashing and rakish. Think tailored suits, silk ties, cravats, waist coats, cufflinks, and find your way from there.

The Drive's dress guide has plenty of information to get you inspired.
