Sometimes you come across something that makes you think, "I'd like to be part of that."

That's exactly what happened when I read about Rob Flood's challenge to walk 60km around Lancashire, tracing the shape of a giant moustache to raise awareness and funds for Movember.

I got in touch, asked if I could join him, and he said yes. So here I am, preparing to walk 60km in a single day!

But there's a serious reason behind the unusual challenge.

The 60km represents the estimated 60 men who lose their lives to suicide around the world every hour. That's a heartbreaking statistic.

As men, we're not always very good at talking about our worries, asking for help or admitting when things aren't going well. Yet sometimes a simple conversation, a listening ear or someone checking in can make an enormous difference.

Movember does fantastic work supporting men's mental health and suicide prevention, alongside raising awareness of prostate and testicular cancer.
I'm fortunate to enjoy walking and taking on physical challenges, so if I can use that enthusiasm to raise some money and encourage a few important conversations, then every kilometre will be worthwhile.

If you're able to sponsor me, I'd be enormously grateful. And if you can't, please consider sharing my page or simply checking in on someone you haven't spoken to for a while.

Because looking after each other matters.

Thank you for your support.

Rob
