Running the New York City Marathon has been a dream of mine, but this year, it carries an even deeper meaning. I am proud to be running as part of Team Movember, supporting the Movember charity—a cause dedicated to men’s health, including mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.
As a woman, some may wonder why I chose to champion this cause. The truth is, men’s health affects us all. Whether it’s fathers, brothers, partners, or friends, the men in our lives face silent battles every day. Too often, societal expectations discourage them from speaking up or seeking help. By running for Movember, I hope to raise awareness, funds, and, most importantly, conversations that can change and even save lives.
This marathon is more than just 26.2 miles—it’s a step toward breaking the stigma, encouraging open dialogue, and ensuring that no man struggles alone. I’m honored to take on this challenge and grateful for every person who supports this mission. Let’s run, talk, and make a difference together!
