My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

I've been fundraising for Movember for 8 years now. The Movember Foundation has a really simple goal - stop men dying too young. The attitude towards men's health is toxic, we don't talk about whats wrong and thats killing us. Of the nearly 6000 people who took their own lives last year in the UK 3 out of 4 of them were men.

With the recent lockdown, looming economic recession and increased social isolation the risk to Men's health are higher than ever. We need to start having honest and open conversations about our health.

After a late start due to a nasty hit of COVID I’m shaven, and even managed to approximate 5 days of growth (hope 2mm isn’t too generous!) so I don’t end up with something even worse than normal!

Hey Ollie,

I work at Mo HQ and just wanted to get in touch to say congratulations on kicking off Movember in such style. £125 is an awesome start!

It can be tough asking for donations, but it always helps to remind people how the money they give is truly helping to make a difference. This video is a great way to do that!

Keep up the great work, there’s still a lot to be done before the end of the month but you’re off to a flying start – and we couldn’t do what we do without people like you.

Mo-bro Adam

Day two - the fantastic people down at Axis Barbers, York sorted me out a bit - no more dead trim. They're doing Movember too, they've got posters, a collection box, great hair cuts and great chat. It sounds silly but a trip to the Barbers and getting to know them can make a huge difference to your mental health. Not only does it promote better self image it's also a great opportunity to talk about whats going on in your life, something a lot of men struggle to do

Its day one and I'm disgustingly clean shaven, looking like Ollie Martin circa 2011. For the third year running I'm raising money to support men's mental health, testicular cancer and prostate cancer. I know I harp on about it a lot and I'm intoxicatingly keen but it really is a phenomenal cause.

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
