My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Men's health

I've always felt very strongly about promoting better men's health and have never really questioned or considered not doing Movember. This year's efforts represent a decade of me growing a ratty tache and it's been a huge twelve months for my own personal mental health journey.

I was diagnosed with ADHD in February last year, having sought out treatment in August 2022 after some deep soul searching and realising something just wasn't quite right. My mood, concentration, memory, and organisational skills amongst other things were beginning to deeply frustrate me and I wanted to fix it. Through the support of family, friends, work, and charities I've been able to start on regular treatment, receive coaching and better understand how my brain works.

It's been good but I have regrets over not taking these steps earlier and am aware that I have much to learn about myself and neurodiversity. Awareness is good, it started me on my path to diagnosis and I know it has helped others too.

Movember plays a big part in raising awareness. Movember is good.
