After raising £1,900 last movemeber, we’re back with a bigger team hoping to raise more for movember than last year with the same goal of each walking 60k in one day.

This years team is Jude, Luke, Cosi, Albert, Ethan, Pheonix and Ivor and whilst it’s Jude and Luke’s second year completing the movember 60k challenge; it’s everyone else’s first year and hopefully not their last. We will be walking from Guildford to Hove - starting at 4am and making our way back over the course of a whole day.

We span over two schools (Lewes Old Grammar School and Downlands Community School) and our united in our passion for this charity and the importance of awareness around men’s mental health. We have all individually faced challenges around mental health regarding loss, disorders, anxiety and overall have experienced the severity of the impact it played on our lives and plays on the lives of men around the world.

Every day, 60 men are lost to suicide every hour worldwide. 1 man every minute. This is why our goal remains the same: 60k representing the men lost every hour to suicide. We hold this cause very close to our hearts and were overwhelmed at the amount of family, friends and organisations who helped us exceed our target and want to ensure that every contribution made goes towards contributions of men’s health initiatives such as programmes that help men and boys build resilience and reduce the rate of male suicide, funding for research and support for prostate cancer and those struggling with it as well as support programmes for younger men affected by testicular cancer.
