Dublin Marathon for Tighearnán

£150

Target: £3,000
Our Motivation

Our cousin Tighearnán was a month out from running the Dublin marathon last year when he got the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 bowel cancer. After a brief battle, he passed away at the age of 29.

He was a loving husband, father, brother and son, and to us and our sisters he was our big brother more so than our cousin. He will be very dearly missed.

Tighearnán was very passionate about raising awareness to encourage people to look after their physical and mental health and had been raising money for Movember in preparation for the marathon. His efforts inspired us to finish what he so cruelly didn't have the chance to do.

Adam and I (Luke) will be running the Dublin marathon on 25th October 2026 and will together be raising money for Movember in Tighearnán's honour. (Our sister Amy will also be running with us for Breakthrough Cancer Research)

He will be in our thoughts throughout the entire training process and he will be a constant source of motivation. No matter how difficult it feels it will be nothing in comparison to what Tighearnán had to endure.

Any donations, no matter the size, will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

RIP Tighearnán 03/02/2026
