Our Motivation

Our mission is to raise awareness and funds for Movember to help prevent suicide, prostate cancer and provide greater mental health support by uniting the Global Rugby Players Foundation with World Rugby and friends from the global Rugby family as a power for good.

Rugby is a sport based on the values of solidarity, passion and respect. With mental health issues constantly rising there has never been a more important time to ensure nobody suffers alone and resources are available to help those in need.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health, and this Movember we are joining them. As well as growing the most handsome/ridiculous moustaches possible, we will be moving (running, cycling, swimming, walking etc) 60km during the month of November to recognise the 60 men who die by suicide every hour around the world.

Suicide is the biggest cause of death in men under the age of 50 and 75% of deaths from suicides are men. That's an incredibly shocking and sad fact, and we are committed to being a force for good.

Women and men alike are equally welcome on this team and together we will make a difference for men's health.

Please support our Movember campaign in any way you can, either with a donation or by sharing this page for awareness. Thank You.

Movember 2025: Changing the Face of Men’s Health

This week marks the start of our Movember campaign — raising awareness and funds for men’s mental health and suicide prevention, together with new friends where I’m currently residing in Barcelona and old friends from the UK and the global rugby and sporting family.

The statistics are heartbreaking: suicide remains the biggest cause of death in men under 50, and 75% of all suicides are men. Behind every number is a brother, father, son, teammate, or friend.

Mental health challenges are rising, and there’s never been a more important time to talk, listen, and act. Together we can make a difference — ensuring no man suffers in silence and that support is always within reach.

I’m driven by my own journey — from times of feeling down, alone and bleak, to now being in a really positive place where I can share my experience and wisdom to help others move toward greater mental fitness, balance, and wellbeing.

If you’re not feeling ok — that’s ok. It’s part of being human. No emotion is permanent. This too shall pass. Take a breath, reach out, and know you are not alone.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. This month I’ll be growing the most ridiculous moustache possible, moving 60 km, and hosting a “Mo-ment” event in Barcelona on 30 Nov.

Please support by donating, joining the movement, or simply sharing this message to raise awareness. Let’s stop men from dying too young.
