Our Motivation

AT NTU Hockey Club we raising awareness for men’s mental health and prostate cancer.

Movember is for those men and boys who come across as the loudest in the room, the funniest man about, but wouldn't ever tell you how they really feel. Movember is for the boys who do not want to get out of bed or physically cannot get out of bed as they are too afraid to face the day ahead, yet still do.
Movember is for everyone who has ever had to keep their struggles to themselves, thinking they would appear weaker if they chose to share, cry, or ask for help.
Movember is for taking the time to approach the men in your life, and simply asking them, ‘Are you ok?’ Or ‘How are you feeling?’

On average 70 men lose their battle to mental health every 70 minutes. 70 minutes, 70 men. By the full- time whistle in a hockey match 70 men would have chosen to end it all. At NTU Hockey we are trying to make people aware of these statistics and talk more.

This half-time be a #manofmorewords

If you are able to donate please do so in the link in our bios.

Week 1 Roundup
After 1 week the boys have managed to raise an incredible £1,432, making us almost halfway towards our target!

A massive shoutout must go to our top 3 Fundraisers so far;
1: Berite Thurley
2: Hayden Debenham
3: Aaron Townsend

Incredibly proud of all the boys, friends and family of the club, who have raised money so far and have helped support such an incredible cause. It is extremely appreciated by everyone at NTU Hockey. Please keep donating and raising money.

Movember is all about raising awareness for Mens Mental Health and Prostate Cancer. Every little helps in achieving this goal.
