Our Motivation

Why highlighting men’s mental health is important.


There’s a tonne of stigma around men’s mental health, I’m sure everyone has heard ‘man up’ at some point and so it makes it much harder for men from a young age to recognise and overcome barriers to talking about their mental wellbeing.
The sad fact is men are more likely to die by suicide but the more we can do to support ourselves and the men in our lives then more men can feel secure to take action to be mentally well.

Everyone has a personal reason to do it and heres some notes from the team;

Zak
I will be aiming to move more throughout November, my goal is 60KM across the month, it signifies the 60 men every hour who lose their battle with mental health.

Nate
I will be doing 60 miles across the month in aim to do a 100 mile cycle at the end of the month.

Paul
I’m aiming to run 100km during November

Tom W
I will be looking to move 200km though the month which is shed load more than I would normally move (I also REALLY hate the cold). I really believe Movember has a really important role in raising awareness around men’s health which I’m sure everyone has been affected by either directly or indirectly at some point in their lives.

George I
So we are asking you to help us raise money for Men's health this November. We’ve set some pretty outrageous goals, and if we manage to hit the different milestones along our £10k target there are going to be some crazy haircuts, funny challenges and maybe even a tattoo.

Freddie
I am aiming to cover 200KM of running! Movember is a great cause, so let’s get promoting.

Darragh
Our aim is to raise 10k over the course of the event and would love your help and support promoting this! I will be pushing to hit 450km distance covered in the month of November; running, walking and hiking!

Milestones
If we reach certain milestones, the team have agreed to do some fun, silly and sometimes painful challenges.

If we hit the full 10k Zak has agreed to get a tattoo of either V: & the Mo as an example!

We will be posting updates along the way and look forward to seeing how much we can raise throughout this next month!
