LUCKY LUKE'S MO BRO MARATHON MOB
LUCKY LUKE AND THE MO BROS

£0

Target: £5,200
Our Motivation

Following my prostate cancer diagnosis in 2016 my team Lucky Luke & The Mo Bros raised an astonishing £35,000 in 2017. This year I need 26 Mo Bros or Mo Sistas to step up and join my team to help me raise a few grand more. For our Mo Bros Marathon I need 26 people to offer to run a timed mile sometime in the month of November. We will collate those times to give us a final time, with a big prize for the fastest mile of course! I am also asking each team member to commit to raising a minimum of £100 which means we'll scoop at least £2600. I'm facing possibly having treatment for my cancer soon, and the options are riddled with nasty side effects no man should have to endure. Please help me change cancer treatment options for men of the future... run a mile, grow a mo, save a bro. Your hair affair on your top lip starts conversations, spreads awareness, creates real world results. Just do it... join me. Thank you. xx ;-) xx

I had trouble joining the team with the US contact info. But I ran the mile in 8min 30sec. at a steady easy pace so tells me I can challenge myself to do better. Considering I was so out of shape 2 years ago to run at all this time is more than ok with me especially with a torn meniscus. What this message says is you can push yourself beyond your boundaries, comfort limits, and challenges, and can always do more more than we think, improve ourselves, accept a challenge simple or hard when we take care of ourselves and put out mind heart and soul into it. You know my prayers are always with you Luke and with Nancy and your boys and from me and Janina in Kyle and your honor, here’s the £100 donation to help make a difference with this ridiculous disease. Thank you and to the whole team for what you do.

Ran my mile this weekend with Sam, the sun was out which really helped. Had to bolt the last 50m to hit me and sam’s target of under 7 mins. Gosh I was out of it

Utterly, utterly amazing achievement - a mighty amount of money raised for men's health - getting a prostate cancer diagnosis thrusts you into a minefield of choices and much can and will improve for men of the future facing this disease... together we have helped that process along with a truly inspirational fund raising effort - I feel like Captain Fantastic right now! Thank you all sooooo much - Luke xxx

Cousin Matt was recently asked if he'd spent the morning writing speeding tickets. He's also raised a mo'ssive NZ$1280. Matt says:

"For my Dad and Bill Hall - legend.

And found out last night that my mobros Col (my cousin) and Luke (step cousin) are both dealing with cancer. Sobering and real but great to be helping them along the way......and still enjoying re-imagining myself as a geezer from the 70s/early 80s. When facial hair madeth the man."
