Our Motivation

Men's health lies close to the heart of UBMSRFC with a strong desire to show that everyone is there for one another when the need arises. Recently in the club's history, we were devastated to lose a loved Cloobman and are determined to move forward positively and raise awareness and funds to support men's health, specifically mental wellbeing. We hope that our questionable caches and fundraising activities will hep to breakdown the stigma around mental health and help contribute to the improvement of men's health

A fantastic challenge for such a worthwhile cause! Hope you enjoy it too.

This year, in support of Movember, UBMSRFC will be looking to run a backyard ultra. The boys will be running a 5k on the hour every hour as a test of the club's mental fortitude and fizz. Mental health is extremely important to the club and any support for the club's Movember activities are greatly appreciated.

Get shaving!
Movember starts tomorrow and I, along with other UBMSRFC boys, will be be showing off our best efforts at a tash- I hope you find it as funny as we will.
The event carries an important message, raising money but more importantly awareness about men's health and in particular mental health in men. I'll post some of the incredible statistics as the month goes on.
Particularly in our hearts are the friends and family of a club old boy who tragically took his own life earlier this year- we hope to remind everybody around us that there is always somebody there to help you through a difficult time and to remind people to ask the question - are you ok?

Please if you feel you can donate to me or any of the other boys, otherwise just bear in mind the impact mental illness can have on people and the huge ways in which you can help.

Happy Movember!

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
