Calling all swimmers, rowers, runners, cyclists, hikers, joggers, dancers, cartwheelers and adventurers - this is going to be a big year and it's yours for the taking.

There are shed loads of fundraising opportunities lined up this year, so find out how you can put your energy into action for men's health and your own.

From the Barcelona Ironman and London / Paris / Berlin marathons, to The Raid and Eroica Brittania cycle challenges, there's plenty to be getting your teeth into. Let's get a move on!

Marathons

The Movember Foundation is pleased to announce that we will be at the Paris Marathon, BMW Berlin Marathon and the Virgin Money London Marathon in 2016. If you have already secured your own place in the Marathon well done and we would love you to run with the Movember Athletics Club!

Drop us a line and let us know which one you're running.

Iron Man

In 1978, U.S. Naval Commander John Collins and his wife Judy issued a challenge. They proposed combining Hawaii's 2.4 mile swim race, 112 mile bike race, and 26.2 mile marathon. On February 18th, 1978 fifteen competitors, including Collins, travelled to Hawaii to take on the first-ever Ironman challenge.

It's a hardcore challenge, but one that will test your might and endurance, and allow you to go down in history as an iron man. A few of the Movember UK crew have signed up for one in Barcelona this year - sadly, all places are now taken, but if you're in the area, please do come cheer us on!

The Raid Cycle

Launched in 2015 by the team who founded Just Pedal, The Raid series gives you the chance to complete some of the most iconic road cycling challenges in the world over a single weekend. This is about pushing you to another level, advancing your limits and getting the most out of your weekend ride. In 2016, The Raid have team up with us here at the Movember Foundation to create the Movember Raid.

This is a unique 2-stage cycling event taking in the highlights of the French and Belgian one-day classics.  Starting in the legendary Roubaix Velodrome and finishing in the Belgian city of Bruges, the event will take palce from September 9th – 11th 2016 and allow riders to test themselves on the cobbles of Northern France and the bergs of Flanders before finishing in spectacular Bruges just in time for the Movember after party.

If this is up your street and you fancy giving it a go, drop us an email here.

Eroica Brittania

The most handsome ride on the planet, Eroica Brittania is a combination of vintage festival, local produce, live music, and a bike ride to remember, carving up the idyllic curves of the Peak district. The Movember Foundation has been lucky enought to be the official charity partner for the last two years and we're hoping to make it a third. Tweed up and bring your trusty steeds to this not-to-be-missed festival amongst the peaks.

Tough Mudder

This mucky race is an endurance event series in which participants attempt a 10+ mile military-style obstacle course. It was designed and created by a British Harvard Business School post graduate and a former corporate lawyer, and tests mental as well as physical strength. It's  great goal to set yourself and even better if you do it as a team. Train together, fundraise, blast the race, and tell stories about it for years to come.

Find your nearest race today and set your muddy target.

These are just a handleful of the ace events you can sign up to this year, but what really floats our boat is member of the Mo Community embarking on their own adventures, raising money and their heart rates where they want, when they want. Fancy cycling the coast of Ireland on a tandem? Swimming the length of the Nile in your local pool? Walking backwards up Scarfell Pike? The world is your oyster, so think big and build your own adventure.
