THE BREAKFAST CLUB GRUB

The Breakfast Club's, ahem, unique dish to start the day; Eggs Menadick, rides again after causing a stir in 2014. Mid-month it had already raised in excess of £5k. Fantastic work from the morning munch maestros!

Give them some love here.

FIGHT FOR MOVEMBER

The inaugural 'Fight For Movember' white collar boxing event was held at the legendary York Hall in East London recently. The boxers who ranged from tailors to traders and featured a number of Mo Bros underwent twelve weeks training and the resultant six fights in front of 300 paying punters looks set to raise in the region of £10k for the Movember Foundation.

“It's November and that only means one thing- MOvember! We want the good men of Edinburgh to join forces, acknowledge their masculinity and do some yoga! Shake off the stigma and help us raise awareness of men's health month with an all male yoga class. This class will be by donation and all proceeds will go to The Movember Foundation, a global charity committed to men living happier, healthier, longer lives. Moustaches are optional, but there will be prizes for the best tash!!! Friday 27th November, led by our very own ambassador Reg Whittome (Union Yoga), in-store.”

BRIGHTON TABL CHARITY DINNER DANCE

Get dow nto the south coast and celebrate the end of Movember at this vintage-inspired charity dinner dance in a former Brighton church.

Guests can look forward to great food, excellent music, exciting prizes and an all-round good time. Join fellow diners for a delicious ‘Mousstachka’ (see what we’ve done there) either layered with lamb - or puy lentil, leek and mushroom - and aubergines, potatoes and cheese, served with winter leaves and warm bread.

Along with prizes for the best Movember moustaches, barbers will be on hand to help shave off or shape existing moustaches. Finally, for your listening pleasure, a unique gramophone DJ collective will spin authentic shellac 78 rpm records, because everyone loves a bit of after dinner dancing.

There will be a paying bar on the night and £5 from every ticket will go to support the Movember Foundation.

MO PHOTOSHOOT

For a £5 donation Mo Bros & Mo Sistas can get a really high quality photo with award winning, internationally renowned photographer Laurence Winram. This year is themed around old-school football portraits. Check out the test shot and last year’s very cool prisoner mug shot shoot.

EDINBURGH WAVERLEY CYCLE OFF

On Sunday, a group of cyclists racked up 192km in 3 hours in the middle of Waverley station, Edinburgh. They were all MOVE-ing and growing for men’s health, showing the commuters how it’s done. Big thanks to Nuffield Health Edinburgh for supplying the bikes and to their staff for helping out. Well done to all the station staff and their families who took part too, especially the mini-Mos showing their support. It was chilly out there on the concourse! They beat Northern Rail’s efforts in Manchester Picadilly, just saying.

SKINNERS' ACADEMY

The Skinners' Academy in North Hackney, London, has been flying the flag for Movember and Mo Bro Joe Tuton and his dedicated Mo team have been on a fundraising and awareness mission. On Friday 20th Movember they held a Mo Day hosting an array of events and fundraising activities including a hugely successful cake sale, making Mo’s on Sticks, classroom MOVE activities for all year groups, a teacher/pupil balloon shaving challenge and K The Barber from Kensal Green gave teachers and 6th formers Mo trims.

They are also the first school to roll out the Movember Lesson Plan in the UK. Top marks to Skinners'! Check out their Team Mo Space here.
