My Story. My Motivation. My Movember 2026.

2026 has been a year of rebuilding myself.

After going through a difficult chapter in my personal life, I found myself facing emotional and mental struggles I never expected. There were moments when I questioned myself, lost my sense of direction, and struggled to find the motivation to move forward.

Like many men, I dealt with much of it quietly. I continued working, smiling, and getting on with life, even when things weren't quite right behind the scenes.

But somewhere along the way, I realised that strength isn't about pretending everything is fine. Sometimes, it's simply about getting up, showing up for yourself, and taking that next step.

Fitness, personal goals, and finding new purpose have helped me regain my confidence and rebuild myself.

That's why Movember 2026 is personal to me.
This year, I'm doing things a little differently. Rather than limiting my challenge to November, I'm starting on 20th October and finishing on 19th November, the day before my birthday.

My commitments are:

450,000 steps: Walking at least 15,000 steps every day throughout my 31-day campaign.

Growing the Mo: Growing my moustache throughout the challenge before shaving it off on 20th November, my birthday.

Giving back: Donating 30% of my side-hustle profits earned during November to Movember.

There's something meaningful about ending this challenge on my birthday. For me, shaving off the moustache won't just mark the end of a fundraiser. It'll symbolise closing a difficult chapter, celebrating how far I've come, and stepping into another year of life with a renewed sense of purpose.

I'm not sharing my story for sympathy. I'm sharing it because I know there are men out there fighting battles nobody sees, silently carrying emotions they don't know how to express.

I've learned that it's okay not to be okay. What matters is finding the courage to keep moving forward and knowing that asking for help is never a weakness.

If my journey encourages even one man to speak up, seek support, or realise that he isn't alone, every step will have been worth it.

450,000 steps. 31 days. One personal mission.

Sometimes, the hardest journey is the one that brings you back to yourself.
