My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer

I am fundraising for Movember in memory of my dad, who died from prostate cancer ten years ago. I wanted to do something meaningful for this upcoming anniversary, even though he would probably be raising his eyebrows and questioning my life choices regarding a) a summer training block and b) running a marathon.

Both of the above however will be a breeze to go through compared to what patients and their families face upon receiving a life altering diagnosis.

Movember fund groundbreaking research into prostate and testicular cancer. They also run and fund supporting programmes that help men open up, seek help, and stay connected, whether it's about a diagnosis or mental health. These are issues that touch almost every person or family in one way or another, with prostate cancer being the most common cancer in UK men and men's mental health still often being treated as taboo.
