I'm running the 2026 NYC Marathon for Movember because men’s health and mental health feel very personal to me. A few years ago, I lost my dad after a short battle with illness, and last year I lost my grandad to Alzheimer’s. Losing the two main male figures in my life has been incredibly tough, and understandably, it took a significant toll on my mental health.

In response to these losses, I’ve committed myself to goals that build resilience, purpose, and positive habits. Running has become the most important of those habits; it’s my way of finding calm in an overwhelming world and pushing myself to chase ambitious goals.

NYC will be my 4th marathon, having completed London, Rome, and Barcelona over the last few years. As my commitment to the sport has grown, so has my ambition for the goal many runners aspire to: a sub-3 hour marathon. Having gotten close in Barcelona earlier this year with a time of 3:03:54, I am determined to finally break that barrier in New York.

By running for Movember, I hope to honor the memory of my dad and grandad, celebrate the progress I've made in my own life, and advocate for men’s mental and physical health. I hope to inspire others to find strength and seek support when they need it most. Any donation toward this cause—and helping me get across that finish line under three hours—means the world to me.
