My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

I’ve four mates who have battled either prostrate or testicular cancer so I know the impact these diseases can have. I’ve worked in teaching and volunteered in Scouting and sports organisations so I’m acutely aware of the mental health challenges all young people face but particularly young men finding their way in an increasingly complex society where narratives around masculinity and misconceptions about what a man should be can fuel mental health issues and marginalise talent. Later, pressures of work, family, finances build and the “black-dog” of depression (as Shackleton called it) can stalk the toughest individuals. Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health, Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Help me stop men dying too young.

How I'm
getting involved
I’m sea-kayaking solo, self-supported, around mainland Britain. Clockwise from Lowestoft, taking about three months starting in April 2026.
