The other day, on a bit of a whim, I decided it would be funny to shave my beard into a moustache. As luck would have it, our Managing Director spotted me and suggested that we get the whole company involved in Movember—a great excuse for a bit of fun and to raise money for a fantastic cause.

I’ll admit, I didn’t know much about Movember at first, but after a bit of digging, I realised just how many important causes it supports—especially prostate cancer and men’s mental health. Both hit close to home for me: my uncle passed away from prostate cancer a few years ago, and I’ve had my own ups and downs with depression since my teens.

So, while I’m sure we’ll have a good laugh growing (or attempting to grow!) our moustaches, (or however else we choose to contribute) it feels really rewarding knowing that we’ll be doing it for something that truly matters. Let’s have some fun, raise some money, and see who can grow the best mo!
