My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

I am running the 2025 Chicago Marathon to support Movember's vital role in raising awareness of the biggest silent killers of men: mental health struggles and prostate cancer.

While we think we are becoming a society that is becoming better at dealing with mental health issues, the stats do not lie - the rate of male suicide is only going up. Too many men suffer in silence and more must be done to support mental health and suicide prevention.

If caught early, the survival rate for prostate cancer is improving. The key word here is, 'if'. With one in eight men in the UK likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, it is vital that Movember has the resources to raise awareness about early testing and to continue investing in cutting edge research to help those diagnosed, survive.

Movember is leading the charge in preventing men dying too early, but with your support, they can go much further.

Well done, on this worthy cause. Excited for you. Perhaps I may come with a run with you on one of your training days. Actually it might be better that I’m on a bicycle so I don’t slow you down.
