My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

So here we are again - year 4 and, of course, I wanted to go again this year for the 'hairy month' and try and raise a bit more cash for this fantastic charity.

One of the most shocking statistics for me is the alarming rate of male suicides, one every minute of the day, all avoidable deaths of dads, husbands, brothers, uncles, nephews or mates.

I'n not sure how, but I have seemed to sign up for running 60km again this year to support the cause. and just took the Mo Mountaineers off for what has become an annual pilgrimage up a mountain in the rain ! We want to spread the good word !

So two years ago we scaled 3000 vertical feet, last year we got pelted by hail and rain and navigated 16km of the Brecon Beacons in Wales. We all got round, and the team with me, Paul, Lee, Alan, Josh, Cam, Angus, Cheran and Mel were phenomenal - and we're reaching out for support from our friends !

I'm trying to help spread the word and get people talking and learning, to make a little bit of difference. So I am super proud that this year, I am a one of the brilliant team of Community Ambassadors in the UK for Movember.

We are upping the ante and really going for it this year - we're racing a bundle of shit-box Fiat 500's to Rome - 1300 Milesi n just 3 days - 8 Cars - 18 Bros and a great selection of Mo's !!

Amazing to be joined in the team this year by Alan, Chris, James, Ellis, Cousin Craig, Matt (he's back with an even dodgier goatee), Angus M (back from Africa) and Carl !

I’ll update this little story bit by bit with some progress photos - and apologise already for the close ups !!

If you can spare a quid or two for the cause - please do - if not maybe you could share this link with someone who maybe able to - man cancer and suicide is something that affects so many men - every little really does help

If you can’t afford to donate - maybe you could do something else instead- either grow a huge ‘tash (if you do - get a beard brush - they are life changing) - or go get checked out and make sure you are cancer clear - catch this stuff early and the clever folk in the amazing cancer care centres around the UK can perform miracles - but give them a head start !

Thanks so much ! Here’s to handlebars !

We made it up the mountain - and back again in just 5 hours !! Definitely the wettest climb of our lives - but brilliant effort from the guys ! Big Shout out to Angus, Cam, Dan, Matt, Josh, Tim, Carwyn, Carl, Jez, Lee, Paul and Gerry - good times - note Poncho Pete in the picture - who doubled up as a flag at the top to mark the achievement (!) Carwyns local knowledge including fun facts about the goats on the mountain does need sharpening up around the opening times of mountain restautrants tho ... luckily we had some honey and lemon lozenges to keep us going !! Thanks to all and a really huge thanks to all our sponsors - we are kicking on the door of £3,000 pounds now which would be a phenomenal achievement !
