My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

Historically, men have been very bad at talking to each other meaningfully and getting themselves checked when something isn't quite right. Whether a physical or mental symptom, we have a tendency to bottle things up and bury our heads in the sand. This must change.

As dads, grandads, sons, brothers, uncles, husbands, boyfriends (I'm sure I've missed some), we matter. We are loved and we are important. Our health, both mental and physical matters, and we need to get better at talking about this in a meaningful way.

I can scarcely grow any facial hair, so Movember is an opportunity for me to look a bit silly and, in doing so, raise both money and awareness for this vital cause. This year, I, along with the awesome 'Five men went to Mo' team, will be growing my moustache for a friend and colleague whose life, and the life of their partner, has been impacted by cancer very recently. We support them and hope that, in some small way, this lets them know we care.

Now, to quote Sir Bob... "Give us 'yer money!"
