My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence.

Globally, more than 1.4M men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year. Movember is working to reduce the number of deaths from prostate cancer, and I want to help them get there.

Day 24 of @movember

Another rainy school run, but my moustache faired much better today.

Day 22 of @movember

Took a sneaky selfie while the rest of the moTeam were busy with the team meeting.

I’m super envious of a few of the Hodkinson teams tashs - you can check them out on my movember page then click on teams.

I made a builder do a double take and laugh on the way home - no catcalling for me

Day 18 of @movemberuk

Todays moustache has an 80s dad feel to it.

On my way to the post office I saw a woman driving in the opposite direction to me wearing Pudsey bear ears. We laughed and waved to each other.

Day 17 of @movemberuk

I’m slowly morphing into the Groucho Marx.

Day 16 of @movemberuk

Two lads looked at me in total teenage disgust, didn’t even crack a smile.

Walters football coaches on the other hand laughed a lot - Walter and his friend not so much.

Day 15 of @movember

Walter was not feeling the tash today.

I however was and made some white van drivers laugh even though they were trying seriously hard to keep a straight face.

Day 14 of @movember

Chilled out day, only had to leave the house for the school pickup/drop off.

Day 11 of @movember

Did the big shop today, lots of pensioners chuckled when they saw me.

Lots of random people talking to me too asking about the mustache, totally out of my comfort zone, but I like that it’s making people smile

Day 10 of @movember

Turned up for my site visit, but it had been canceled whilst I was driving.

Took a picture anyway

188 Week(s) Ago

Day 9 of @movember

Made a few pensioners laugh in Tescos and the staff gave me weird looks.

Saw my friend Mr Inappropriate Grandad when I picked Walter up after football today. I could tell he was reluctant to talk to me, and last week he totally avoided me. When I went to speak to him he said he was avoiding me as he thought it was real and didn’t know what to say

188 Week(s) Ago

Day 8 of @movember

Along with the usual school pick drop off/pick up I also had an office day today.

Great to see everyone’s moustaches coming along.

Nearly caused a couple cars to crash as I saw the people driving staring at me open mouthed

Day 4 of @Movember

Another quiet day of the school run and then driving to my folks in Kent.

Had a few comments on what I look like with this tash - Groucho Marx, a scoucer - I thought it was more of a Mr Potato head look, I just need the hat!

190 Week(s) Ago

Day 3 of @movember

A quiet one today consisting mainly of school pick up and drop off and a Teams meeting with work. So not out and about much.

The kids at school pick up looked at me like I was a total loon, I think they can’t decide if it’s real or not

Day 2 of @movember

To the absolute dismay of Walter and James, today was my first day out in public wearing my tash.

The school run was fun, loads of parents smiling/laughing when they saw me - the kids looked a little bewildered.

I went to @bootsuk in Flackwell Heath for my flu jab, and it was busy. A fair few people started chatting to me and one woman even gave me £1(!!!) donation.

A barber even gave me the thumbs up as I walked past his shop

190 Week(s) Ago

We didn’t go out today as it was Walter's last day of half term and it was absolutely peeing it down.

Tomorrow I’ll be out and about in my tash, as I have to take Walter to school, have my flu jab, take James' car for its MOT and a bit of food shopping.

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
