A little about me

Hi, I’m Mason, 26, and from Stoke-On-Trent. A private healthcare clinician who loves the outdoors and giving myself a challenge, hence this 30-mile run!

I’ve always loved sports and being active and over the past few years, I’ve really got into running. I decided back in January 2022 that I was discussing what I could do to challenge myself both physically and mentally, but also to raise money for a fantastic cause.

Why Movember?

Globally, on average, 1 man dies by suicide every minute of every day
3 out of 4 suicides in the UK are men
1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime

I want to raise money for a cause that helps, and supports men through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

Movember uses money raised to fund global men's health projects. These tackle mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

The money raised will go towards stopping men from dying far too young.

The where & when

As mentioned above, I’m a Clinician at Peak Chiropractic. We have 3 practices, 1 in Ashbourne, 18 miles away is the Leek practice and a further 12 miles to the Hanley practice. These provide a great route through the local area and also double up as great pit stops along the way. I’ll be starting my 50K run at around 7am and hopefully finishing in Hanley in the afternoon.
