Movember Leaderboards are now officially closed (+ a day, bcuz exams)

Our University challenge had 500 members across 54 teams and moved a total of 10859.44 km.
This year's campaign is the second-highest campaign at UofG and we were justttt slightly shy of £40,000 (Movember HQ took a team away, Liam says "it's more of a feeling of longing" now, because we had reached £40k then got BOOTED down)... anyways.

While the month is over, the fight for mental health and destigmatizing masculinity is still as important as ever. Movember is an amazing cause as it manages to put a bit of humour into incredibly serious and important issues like testicular and prostate cancer, so we urge you to keep the lessons for the next 11 months, and then it'll already be time for Movember 2025!!

It's been a big privilege to help coordinate the charity this year and our committee would like to thank each and every MoBro/Sis for the diligent work. It was so much fun seeing creative challenges and people push themselves for a good cause--Movember is all about Havin' Fun Doin' Good, and we did exactly that.

This month we came together and it's a powerful reminder that through community and compassion, we not only combat physical health challenges but also build a foundation for mental well-being. Because problems shared are problems halved.

Thank you for a mo-numental month
Yours,
Cecilia and Liam

WEEK 4 BUT SURPRISE--IT'S NOT OVER YET!!

We have crushed this month as a university. The top uni in Scotland and the second-best Movember at Glasgow, thanks for being part of the mission to change men's health.

There is a final double donation day on December 3rd at 9 a.m. Here's the total cheat code to get on that leaderboard: donate in 20GBP increments and tell your folks to donate starting at 9 a.m. and get a matching 20 from L'oreal. You can do it as many times as you want.

Another cheat code for fundraising: Facebook is the place to be. Create a Facebook fundraiser from your MoSpace (more step-by-step on Instagram)! It's funny but it works!!

We'll post our final recap on December 9th when leaderboards close. @movember_gu of course for updates.

Congrats everyone!

ONE WEEK LEFTTTT!!
Hey MoBros and MoSistahs, Liam and I are beyond impressed with the exceptional efforts from each individual so far. It's not long until the moustaches can be shaved and running shoes tucked away.

We're currently the leading University in Scotland, and everyone in this challenge has been involved in pioneering men's health.

This week, try a new lil' challenge: Invite your mates for a coffee in these cold temps (or a hot chocolate with Baileys; we don't judge) and put the teachings of Movember into practice. Check up with your mates as exams get more intense and the temperature drops. It's important to practice what we've been preaching and strengthen our community and friendships.

We're excited to see a strong finish to this Movember, and are loving the crazy challenges you've all come up with!

Twas the night before Movember, when all through the land,
Not a whisker was stirring, not one single strand.
The razors were readied by the sink with care,
In hopes that a smooth-to-be face would soon be there.
The Mo Bros and Sisters were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Mo glory ran through their heads.

Yes folks, the hairiest month of the year begins TOMORROW!!

Hopefully all the plans for your team’s campaigns are in place, and if not – there is still time to recruit, make plans and build hype. Last year the sports challenge made a serious impact, and we’re gonna do it all again this year.

BE THE DIFFERENCE IN MOVEMBER 2024!

As Movember draws to a close, we hope that those of you who are growing are beginning to feel at one with the Mo.

Will be a sad day for those that will be losing their furry face furniture soon but remember, you still have until 11th December until the leader boards close... so maybe you can extend the Mo growth just a bit longer.

Comedian Nick Helm has perfectly shown the Movember journey - go give it some love!
