My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

November without a Mo? No chance. I'm growing a 'tache once again to help those of us who've struggled with health issues, be they physical or mental. We all need to talk more - whatever's on our minds.

My 2020 lockdowns were livened up by testicular cancer, the sort of thing we've all heard of, but which only happens to other people...

It's quite a feeling when it happens to you. But, thanks to the amazing efforts of charities like this one, it's not as scary or life-altering as its name might suggest. It's easy to fix and easy to treat... IF it's found early.

So please check your own balls regularly - get to know them really well - so that if anything nasty ever appears down there, you're onto it nice and quickly.

If you have a bit of spare cash to throw in with your spare hand - whether it's £10 or 10p - all the better. It's thanks to things like Movember that I'm here and fixed and able to grow some very questionable facial hair for your amusement.

Magnum PI would be proud of that one. Nice work Mr Dobinez, and well done for raising so much money for this charity over the past three years

Day 23, just one week to go. If my donations reach £2,500, though, it's staying 'til Christmas. Dare you help free this 'tache out of lockdown and into society?

Eight days in, and here’s how it looks. Huge thanks for the exceedingly generous donations so far!

On 1 May, I was told the rock-hard lump in my left ball was ‘probably cancerous’. A month later, it was removed (see the arrow drawn on my wrist before surgery, to make sure the correct one was binned) and my ‘probably’ became a ‘definitely’.

There may be little jeopardy growing a ‘tache this month, but there’s plenty of jeopardy in not finding cancer early. Or finding something dodgy, but not pestering the doctor due to embarrassment. Or Covid. The rest of the NHS is still open, and if there’s the slightest hint of cancer, they’ll whisk you through the necessary scans, tests and – if needed – surgery. Trust me.

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
