Movember Challenge: Marathons and Moustaches for Men’s Health

This November, our team is taking on some epic challenges to raising funds and awareness for men’s health. Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health focusing on mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Why this matters to us
Men’s health is something that hits close to home for our team.
In our community, men often struggle in silence. Mental health challenges are all too common with a higher than average male suicide rate and support can be hard to find with fewer mental-health resources and greater stigma around reaching out. That makes our mission here more urgent than ever.

On top of that, James has personally battled testicular cancer, and the implications it had on fertility and mental health.

We’ve seen firsthand the importance of early detection, research, and ongoing support.

James and Jonathan’s challenge
* Growing our best (and worst!) Movember moustaches
* On the 24th Nov we will be: rowing a marathon, skiing a marathon, cycling a double marathon and running a marathon. That’s over 130 miles of sweat, pain, and purpose
* Sharing stories and raising awareness every step of the way

Tough Cookie take on Battle Cancer
* Alongside our amazing wider Tough Cookie Teams we will be taking on Battle Cancer Challenge. A fitness event that’s a test of strength, endurance, and teamwork, inspired by the resilience of those fighting cancer. For us, it’s another chance to push ourselves, stand together, and show that no one faces their battle alone.

Why your support matters
Every donation, big or small, will go directly to Movember, helping fund:
* Mental health programs that give men the confidence and tools to reach out when they’re struggling.
* Prostate and testicular cancer research, improving treatment and survival rates.
* Community initiatives that tackle the stigma around men’s health.

Hi James,

Thank you for signing up for Movember 2022, it’s great to have you back on board! Last year you were one of our Platinum Club legends and we can’t thank you enough for your amazing support.

Your fundraising means we were able to invest £5.7M million in Scaling What Works; a grant programme that aims to supercharge mental health initiatives that have shown real promise in improving mental health and wellbeing for young boys and men, across communities.

If there is anything we can do to help make this Movember a success, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I hope you have a great month!

I haven’t run in a while. This will be a good challenge. Swimming fitness is not running fitness. Bit of a shock but it’s all worth it.
