My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

This summer, we lost our beloved uncle Shay. Uncle shay will always be know for his infectious humour and charm that would always light up whatever room he entered. Despite the energy and joy he would often show, uncle shay had his demons. Sadly, for whatever reason, they became too much for him to bear. Devastated does not begin to describe how we are all feeling about his loss.

Unfortunately, we are not alone as a family in losing a dear member to suicide. Thousands of families across the country have their lives turned upside down by it every year. In order to raise awareness for my dear uncle shay and others who reach the point where they think there is no other option, I will be cycling, swimming and running the equivalent distances of a journey from Bedford (our home and often uncle Shay’s) to portrush (where he now lies at peace). I will begin on his birthday, October 4th, and continue the challenge hopefully finishing before Christmas. My aim is not to raise money but to help others realise it is okay to not be okay. Along the way, I hope to share resources and stories of others in order to highlight the ways we can help those who need it.

Cycling Bedford to Cairnryan 352 miles
Swimming Cairnryan to Belfast 60 miles
Running Belfast to portrush 60 miles
Including North Sea dips (without a wetsuit) to start and end each week.

On Saturday 19th Movember, Mo Bros Rugby and Kew Occasionals will once again do battle in the name of men's health.

Last year's match ended 39-38 to the visiting team, so you know it's going to be another cracking competition this year. Come along to see highly skilled, moustachioed men chucking a rugby ball about, all in the name of men's health.
Kick off is 14:00 at Richmond Athletic Ground, with the bar open before, during and after! We will then pile into the clubhouse for the England vs. New Zealand game at 17:30, and party the night away…

A big thanks to Bristol Bears who invited Movember over to talk men's health, moustaches and rugby. The month may almost be over, but the conversations don't stop.

A huge thanks to all our rugby Mo Bros & Mo Sisters who have raised over £100,000 this year. Epic! Where will your team finish in the league table?

On Saturday Mo Bros Rugby are playing a charity game down at Richmond. If you're in the area come on down.

Next weekend we want to see your Match Day Mos, your moustache at its finest. Dye your Mo (or draw one in team colours) and share on social, tagging @Movember. Show us your #MatchDayMo, raise some dough and help change the face of men’s health.

It’s just over one week until the end of Movember. The top fundraising team in the Rugby Challenge will be rewarded with a Movember trophy, but who will walk away with the bragging rights between you and your local rivals? Check out the leaderboard and set yourself a target this moustache season. Email info.uk@movember.com for fundraising ideas and info. Above is a photo of the Northampton Saints team with last year's trophy.

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
