And finally, the big number 4. This marks my last year at uni, and probably the last year I can go so rogue with the changes to my appearance (whether that’s *correct* or not is another issue), so I figured let’s try and finish off with a bang.

I've taken part in Movember for the three years now, raising a total of £1,647 to date, with £775 of that coming from last year alone!
It’s still crazy to me that I could have that much of an impact on the conversation about men’s mental health, and I have you all to thank for that.

We’ve bested covid as much as we can, and now we’re back out in the world trying to be normal (which means people get to see the travesty that will be my appearance).

How do I top being bald with an orange moustache? I asked and you answered.

£0 - The beard will be gone, and the stache will stay as usual

£250 - Like years previous I will dye my hair a colour of the people's choosing.
There’s a post on the Facebook fundraiser and you can 'Vote' by reacting to the comments, or suggesting your own.

£500 - Nothing extra just yet, maybe some can be suggested.

£750 - Arguably worse than being bald, is taking the clippers to my hair… but not all of it…
Number 5 on the sides, 0 on the top - stylish

£1000 - Now this one I’ll be surprised if we hit - but like I said, let’s try and go out with a bang - I’ll get a Movember themed tattoo to immortalise the efforts and contributions of myself and you guys over these four years.

Last year I ran 75km as part of a physical challenge - this year its a murph, and donating money based on my performance

A murph entails:
1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 air squats
1 mile run

As fast as you can!

I've been a silly boi and injured my back, which means I have had minimal training for it - fun!
I'm going to be doing assisted pull-ups, because I don't think I could feasibly even do 100 in a day... but it'll still be a fair bit of work.

I have no concept of how long it'll take me, so I'm going to wager

£15 for every hour it takes me.

I'm going to be attempting it later on in the month, towards the end, and if people are interested I'll try and facebook live it or what have you to prove I'm not cheating (please note, it will just be me dying for an uncomfortably long time, do not expect good content) xx

At the end of the day, I'm just trying to do my bit, and whether you can give a little or a lot, or can simply just share the fundraiser, I'll be greatly appreciative.

Thanks for reading - happy Movember!

... and pink we became!

Thank you to everyone who has donated, it truly means the world.
The funds will continue to be raised all through November so we're not done yet!

So, my goal was smashed and as such I delivered my end of the deal...

Hey David,

I work at Mo HQ and just wanted to say a huge congrats on kicking off Movember in such style. £105 is an awesome start!

It can be tough asking for donations, but it always helps to remind people how the money they give is truly helping to make a difference. This video is a great way to do that.

Keep up the great work, there’s still a lot to be done before the end of the month but you’re off to a flying start – and we couldn’t do what we do without people like you.
