My motivation

To keep it to a minimal, I’m on comeback season in more ways than one. March 2023, I started moving more and getting out there, to improve all aspects of my life and make change for the better. At the time of writing ( September), I run daily, have gone back down from a 36 waist, to a 32 and managed my first half marathon.

Movember, I will be doing the usual joke attempt of growing a Mo but moving as well. My target is a 300KM month but that doesn’t worry me. I have also said I’m doing David Goggins 4 x 4 x 48 challenge. To make sure I do it, I’m writing it down on here to make myself accountable. The challenge is 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours. The most difficult challenge, I will have ever attempted.

31/10 - Seen a push up challenge which I’m adding. 3,000 push ups over the month as well

Movember - Day 14 - Rest Day.

In 24 hours time, I am preparing myself for the greatest physical and mental challenge in the 4x4x48. Taking this time to rest physically, as my knee has started to feel the burden of running over 180KM in 13 days. Mentally, this challenge has come at a time when I really need this test, as over the past 48 hours, I have been as anxious beyond belief about life as a whole. Whilst I know it is temporary, there is nothing more crippling than when your right up against it, fighting the large fire, with a water pistol.

I am motivated, I am driven and I am determined to complete this challenge, even if I’m dragging my legs, walking or crawling, it’s happening.

For every man who has died too young, for every penny people have donated towards Movember this year, and years gone by. Every bit counts.

To those who have donated to my Mo space, I thank you. To those who provide me with positive feedback about what I am doing, I thank you. Your support just provides me with a why, greater than the cause. Why, because you’ve shown belief in me. That is all I need.
