My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

My motivation is twofold.

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. Movember is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there.

I’m also one of the of an unfortunately large number of people who’s lives have been affected by cancer. As we all know by now Movember do a superb job of helping to spread awareness of cancer - especially in men - and anything I can do to try and reduce the number of people who have their lives affected by a truly horrible disease will always be worth it.

Owain Doull kindly shared his personal reasons for supporting Movember last year. He's given his backing to the 150 as well. He talks about why it's important to keep supporting others, and reaching out for help when facing mental health issues ourselves.

Hey 150 crew, here are my top 3 tips to help raise vital funds for Movember.

1. Timing is everything. Pay day is approaching at the end of the month, a good time to ask for support. Start fundraising early as well, and it makes it easier to hit your target.
2. Donate to yourself, if you can. It can get the ball rolling, but also shows you're really serious about fundraising.
3. Rally your friends. More riders multiply your fundraising, together. See what you can achieve on a group ride.

Don't forget our water bottle and jersey rewards as well for raising £100 and £500 respectively. Best of luck!
