Target: £3,000
raised £3,590 since 2016
My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

On 6th November, I will be running the 2022 New York Marathon to raise money for Movember. Having raised money for Movember throughout my time at uni, I still feel like we’ve got a long way to go in stopping men ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves, and struggling in silence.

From my own experience, it still takes guys my age 5, 6, or 7 pints to finally open up and say nah, not everything is great, that life can be quite hard, and that that’s absolutely ok. That shouldn’t be the case. And I hope Movember’s work and my own wee contribution can help solve that problem.

On a personal level, running’s been my number one way of managing the general anxieties the world throws at us and, in particular, filling the void that’s left behind when you stop playing team sport. So, I’m real proud to be able to support their work and doing so while running one of the world’s best marathons seems only fitting.

It's mid-month and the Mos are coming through strong. Farnham RUFC lead the way in the Sports Challenge fundraising leaderboard as I write, but where do you feature?

Don't forget to thank your donors and give potential donors an extra incentive to donate; an example of a Movember funded project, a special thanks from you, or simply because of the terrible itch your moustache is giving you. Thanks sporting Mos, we are over £200,000 raised and going strong!
