My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. The Movember Foundation is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.

Sorry it’s coming early, but wanted to get a head start so I can properly commit to this! As I’m sure folks know I often do some fundraising Movember, but this is the first year in a while I won’t be doing it for the University Cricket Club so I thought I’d keep the theme going. To raise a bit of money, I’ll be doing some running - but to make it interesting, it’ll be in full batting kit (helmet, bat ’n’ all).

I’m already doing the Mo-run on the 7th, and regardless of the money goal i’ll do a 5k from St Helens to Mumbles on Sunday the 24th, but here are some stretch goals

£0 - St Helens -> Mumbles Cricket Ground
£200 - St Helens -> Mumbles -> St Helens (10k)
£500 - St Helens -> Pontardawe Cricket Ground (15k)

And if we break that significantly we’ll start thinking of more things to do like facing an over when I arrive.

I’ll do some updates through the month, and of course if anyone wants to join me at any of these stages they would be more than welcome.

Go well, cheers.

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
