My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

I've done movember a few times now both times for men's mental health I did it because I thought it was a good thing to do charity work, it would be a bit of a challenge and I have an interest in mental health. This year is different.

The last 2 years have been difficult but this year has been the worst. One of my friends went missing at the start of the year and for months we waited with baited breath for news. Then a few weeks ago our worst fears became a reality he had committed suicide. It has been incredibly hard coming to grips with his loss and I wish I could have done more, or seen the signs. I along with my friends have to live with the loss, pain and unanswered questions.

But it's not all sadness and pain there is a light at the end of this, no one else has to experience this pain, we have the power to stop this through different charities, advertising and awareness, groups and activities we can get men to start talking about their problems the things that lead them down a very dark path and hopefully we can with kindness and respect pull thosr men back from the brink.

That's why I'm doing movember because I now know what that loss feels like now.
