Our Motivation

Prostate and testicular cancer are among the most common cancers in men, yet awareness about symptoms, risk factors, and early detection is still very low. HORIBA is committed to supporting Movember and its global initiative to educate men on those issues that are critical to their physical health, encouraging early diagnosis and improving outcomes. As well as the physical health aspect, Movember also encompasses men’s mental health and the prevention of suicide. Typically, men are less likely to seek help when they are struggling emotionally and this is often due to societal expectations around masculinity. Growing a moustache offers a great talking point and opportunity to open up, leading to conversations that could result in men getting the help they need. It is hoped that by supporting Movember, HORIBA is making a contribution that will lead to change, positively impacting men’s physical and mental health and helping to save lives.
