Over the past decade, mental health issues in the UK have grown significantly, with men being particularly vulnerable. Suicide remains the leading cause of death for men under 50, and globally, a man dies by suicide every minute. In 2021, the male suicide rate in the UK stood at 15.8 per 100,000—more than three times the rate for women. Despite these alarming statistics, many men are still reluctant to seek help or even discuss their struggles.

This family is determined to change that narrative. By supporting Movember, they are not only raising funds but also fostering an environment where it’s okay to talk about mental health.
