Our Motivation

Mo Bros’ and Mo Sisters at Farrans Construction are, working together to help break down the stigma surrounding mental ill health across the construction industry.

A large part of Movember’s focus is on mental health through the male lens. It sets out to encourage and empower men to take the necessary action to look after their mental health and wellbeing, and to have the confidence to reach out for help and support if they need it.

Working in a predominantly male industry, we firmly believe that there are great synergies between Movember and the ethos of Farrans – particularly given the strong emphasis that we place on our mental health and suicide prevention training, which is delivered across the entire organisation.

At Farrans, the health and wellbeing of our people is critical to our business and underpins absolutely everything we do as a company throughout the year. In fact, to date, we have facilitated both mental health awareness and mental health first aid training to around 1,000 staff members. It is crucial that, together, we continue putting the safety, health and wellbeing of our staff, our colleagues and our stakeholders before anything else.

By ‘ditching the razor’ and moving 60km for the month of November, we hope that we can continue to raise awareness and some much-needed funds to support this important cause. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
