Movember Podcast: In The Barber Chair

Movember reignites podcast series with real conversations on what it means to be a modern man
Real Stories | Podcast

The Movember podcast is back, delving into all things men’s health with their In The Barber Chair series.

Hosted by former Soccer AM host Tim Lovejoy, episodes feature a number of British celebrities sharing their own experience and struggles with mental health.

Recorded at Ted's Grooming Room in London, the Movember podcast is designed to give listeners real cuts and real conversations about what it means to be a man today.
Throughout each episode, Lovejoy holds open and honest conversations with celebrity guests because, while the moustache has always been the conversation starter, it’s the talking and being there for someone that really matters.

The first three episodes of the podcast see Lovejoy chat with actor and comedian Ben Miller, YouTuber Jim Chapman, and stand-up comic Paul Chowdhry.

In the Barber Chair is designed to give listeners real cuts and real conversations about what it means to be a man today.

New research from Movember found almost half of 18-34-year-old men in the UK are reluctant to talk about their problems or feelings for fear of being seen as less masculine.
And that’s why In The Barber Chair is so important in helping break down the stigma around masculinity, and encourage men to talk openly when they’re struggling.
Ben Miller said: “Men need to learn to be more open about the fact that we have problems; having an issue isn’t something to be ashamed of. Hopefully this podcast will encourage more guys to adopt that point of view.
“What I love about Movember is it’s very real and accessible. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, the people behind it are real and it’s got a lot of soul as a charity, so it feels like people doing the right things for the right reason.”
Episodes of In The Barber Chair will be available with all major podcast outlets.
