My motivation

Movember 2021.

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. The Movember Foundation is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.

So, for Movember this year I'm going to tackle a cycling challenge.

One of the biggest themes of Movember is mental health and suicide prevention. Checking in on your friends and doing something together is vital.

This year I'm going to be cycling 10 miles every day of the month.
Attempting to make the shape of a moustache on each ride.

Aswell as this, each Saturday of the month my good friend James and I will be competing against each other challenges suggested by those who make donations.
These challenges will be live streamed so you join in and hopefully have a laugh at us making fools of ourselves!

Thanks in advance, you've all been amazing in the past years so let's smash this year's target too!

Owain Doull kindly shared his personal reasons for supporting Movember last year. He's given his backing to the 150 as well. He talks about why it's important to keep supporting others, and reaching out for help when facing mental health issues ourselves.

Hey 150 crew, here are my top 3 tips to help raise vital funds for Movember.

1. Timing is everything. Pay day is approaching at the end of the month, a good time to ask for support. Start fundraising early as well, and it makes it easier to hit your target.
2. Donate to yourself, if you can. It can get the ball rolling, but also shows you're really serious about fundraising.
3. Rally your friends. More riders multiply your fundraising, together. See what you can achieve on a group ride.

Don't forget our water bottle and jersey rewards as well for raising £100 and £500 respectively. Best of luck!

Hi Aaron,

Looks like you’re a natural when it comes to fundraising! Thanks so much for the support.

As a little token of our appreciation, and a sweet little incentive, Gillette are giving away free eight packs of razors for anyone who raises £500 or more by the end of the month. We reckon that goal’s well within sight for you so go on, send out that group message, put that status on Facebook, Tweet like you’ve never tweeted before – those donations will come rolling in and you might just earn yourself some of the finest razor hardware around.

Good luck, and a huge thank you again for your support.

Maddy from Movember

Hey Aaron!
A massive thank you for raising such an amazing amount already! I hope you’re having an awesome month, keep up the great work. And if there’s anything I can help just give me a call on 0207 952 2060.
Mo on!
Lily, Mo HQ
