Bet Benji at the gym £5 I could twirl the edges of my Mo for an entire workout on the last day of the month - I did, but the twirls didn’t last the workout.

Day 28: The Mo is coming along nicely, some final trimming & we'll be there.
Plans are well under way for the final awareness session; this Saturday I've been given the ok to design the WOD (workout) at my local CrossFit gym - all the Mo-vements are Mo-inspired, and everyone attending has to be sporting a Mo :) Fortunately everyone I've spoken to has been massively supportive and is fully on board. In return I'm baking some cakey goodness.
I've re-read the workout I've designed, and even I'm getting apprehensive at how much there is. Not going to reveal the Mo-ves just yet...

Day 18: We had a choir curry fundraiser tonight, & I'd previously been given the ok to arrange some entertainment for the evening (super supportive group). So in addition, tonight consisted of Lyrics Bingo (all taken from our repertoire), and in part 2, they had to work out which song(s) the lyrics came from. Judging by the feedback this went down very well, with much hilarity & frustration - it's not as easy as you'd think! I even sold a few of the teams some hints, in return for additional donations ;) In the end it went great - was handed some cash donations and lots of people asked for the link to my page. An absolute top bunch :)

Day 17: Fabulous day! Smashed another of my Movember objectives today. I'm a member of 2 groups who in particular I wanted to have a chat to, and today did that with my choir. Spent the first 5 minutes or so talking about what Movember is & what it stands for. They were all so receptive & encouraging it was fab. Already working on how I'm gonna follow this up...

Day 15: Aarrgghh! Having to actually shave every day is a pain!! How do people do this permanently?! The thought of keeping the Mo beyond Movember had crossed my mind, but clearly I was rushing into a decision there. Need to give that more consideration...

Mo Joke of the Day:
My mate just told me he's getting it on with his girlfriend and her twin.
I asked "How can you tell them apart?"
He said "Her brother's got a mustache."

Day 14: I'm particularly enjoying the double-takes from people who aren't expecting to see such a masterpiece sprouting from my upper lip.

Mo Joke of the Day:
An Eskimo goes to the mechanic.
The mechanic says "It looks like you blew a seal."
The Eskimo says "No, that's just frost on my mustache."

Day 10: Took the day off to admire how well my Mo has grown in the first 10 days, and still have 2/3's of the month left.

Mo Joke of the Day:
Why does a man never lose his moustache?
It’s always under his nose!

294 Week(s) Ago

Day 9: I am aghast at the Mo, it's starting to look real :) More important, I had a chance to speak to my gym about what Movember is all about, hand out some instructions & educate a few people too :) All in all, a good day

Mo Joke of the Day:
Which nut had the best Mo?

Day 8: Felt a bit stubbly today, so got on the shaving case straight away (I'm not the most disciplined when it comes to shaving, it is a relatively new experience after all), and was pleased with how well the mo is coming on after only 8 days - it’s on!

Mo Joke of the Day:
How do you choose which moustache to grow?
Eeny meeny miny MO!

295 Week(s) Ago

Day 7: Fabulous news; I've managed to speak with one of my groups, and they've not only said it's fine for me to have a few minutes chat with an audience this weekend #RaiseAwareness, but they've also said they can support me with a fundraising event at the end of the month.

Mo Joke of the Day:
Where do moustaches go for a drink?
A handle bar!

295 Week(s) Ago

Day 6: I've spent today trying to work out how I'm going to promote Movember. I'm a chorister in a Male Voice Choir and CrossFit at a regular gym, so it seems obvious to use those; both have events coming up so I'm going to start by asking for a few minutes to chat to everyone about what Movember is, and go from there.

In line with my current level of humour, let's have a Mo Joke of the Day:

How does a man with a Mo support his family?
By investing in a shavings account!!

295 Week(s) Ago

Day 5: I've done it, I'VE PICKED A STYLE!! *quiet voice* well 2 actually. As suggested by my first (and so far only donor *cough*), I've gone for a handlebar, but kept the bit below my bottom lip just in case I change my mind & need to swap to V from V for Vendetta (excellent film btw).

295 Week(s) Ago

Day 4: The frostbite is finally subsiding from my face, being replaced with a prickly texture that could take on a stinging needle.
I've been looking for my choice of mo; I'm thinking either #5 or #6. The Great Shave™️ starts tomorrow. Whether it ends up looking like any of these is a different story...

295 Week(s) Ago

Day 3: A greyness appears on my face; neither stubble nor hair, I look forlorn with it suitable for anyone with a hangover.
I feel I have 1 day, maybe 2, before I have to choose my Mo and begin sculpting my Banksy-worthy masterpiece. .

295 Week(s) Ago

Day 2: My face has refused to grow any hair. I think it's scared it might get shaved again. I'm confident this tactic won't work and will be having some gentle words.

Great cause mate. What style you going for? I want full handlebar!

Day 1: Shaved my face. Parts of it haven't seen daylight for a while. I'm like a half-albino half-red bingo-dabber. This is not my focus thanks to the blistering numbness across my throat.
I look forward to another 29 days of this.
