My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. Help me stop men dying too young.

I lost a good friend a few years ago to a silent mental health battle, that he was fighting unbeknownst to me and others around him.
The pain of losing a mate was hard to bear, but seeing the impact on his partner and family was even tougher.

In all honesty, I didn't do enough to check in on him or recognise the signs. I don't want that to be the case for anybody else.

The work that Movember do is undoubtedly invaluable and works to help fight for men's health, both mental and physical!

To help as much as we can, myself and good mate Marcus have decided to take on a physically demanding challenge that will test us both and push us to our limits!

The event is called the Starcross Shuffle, and I feel that that is an apt name as we will undoubtedly be shuffling by the end.
Ultimately, It's a 7 hour running event that consists of a 6.6 mile (or 10.6km) loop to be completed as many times as possible in the time we have!

This will be a hell of a challenge, but it is nothing compared to the suffering that some men go through in silence every day, or the physical pain that prostate and testicular cancer victims go through!

Marcus and myself are dedicated to supporting mental health and suicide prevention, along with prostate and testicular cancer awareness. Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends a health crisis that can often go unspoken of, but this shouldn't be the case any more.

Let's not let men die too young any more!
