My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

From personal experience I know how mental health can affect a person, I was lucky in the sense I had people close to me, family and friends, who unknowingly took a lot of the burden I was keeping on my shoulders. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have them. Like many men, I did not want to speak out about how I felt as I was embarrassed. Men's mental health is no joke. Therefore I am taking the challenge of using my God-given right to grow an awful moustache along with lifting some (relatively) heavy ass weights!

For every £2 donated to me for Movember will turn into 1kg added to my bench press. If we surpass my bench press max, we'll move on to squats and deadlifts. In the event that I can keep the donations at bay (hopefully not), I will be donating £60 out of my pocket to the charity at the end of November in honour of the 60 men who tragically lose their lives to suicide every hour. However, if the donations pile up so high that I can't complete all three lifts in one session every day, my original end-of-November donation of £60 will double.

But this year, I want to make this year’s challenge even harder. One of the things I have always been bad at has been long-distance running. So inspired by this, for EVERY £20 that is donated to me this Movember (cumulative), I will add 1km to a run that I will attempt on the final weekend of the month. This means using the amount that was raised last year of £1,000, I will be running a 50km ultramarathon!!

So your donations are worth even more than last time!

Every day I will be completing the lifts and posting the videos on social media, so those who have donated can see the weight literally being lifted from my shoulders!

If you would like to follow this challenge then I am posting daily on my Instagram @breakingmybaxter with updates as well as proof that I am completing the challenge! For those who would like to follow the progress but don't have Instagram or would rather lump update videos every 10 days I will be uploading a video about the challenge so far on YouTube here:

Thank you to anyone who donates to this wonderful cause.
