YOU DID IT BUSINESS CLUB!

The hairy season is now over! We hope you’ve had a brilliant month Growing, Moving and Hosting with your colleagues.

So far, the Movember Business Club has raised an incredible £1.53 million for men’s health and this is down to your amazing fundraising! The support you and your colleagues have given us will ensure Movember can help more men to live happier, healthier and longer lives.

There’s still time to get your final donations in and to match your funds if your company has a matching scheme. The leaderboard will close at 10pm on the 11th DECEMBER so hurry, there’s still time to change your final position - Mo on!

Finished. It really was a challenge.
Thank you to everyone who supported me, gave words of wisdom and donated!
I am looking forward to 3 days of rest and going back to sprints on the pool.
This weekend will be Christmas decorations and playing Hogwarts Legacy with my wife, who has been SO supportive throughout this.

Business Mos, the end is in sight!

For those that braved the shave 24 days ago, the stubble is coming back to you now. On your top lip at least.

You. Look. Good.

Now’s the time to dig deep, dig in and commit to Mo. Remember the men you’re doing it for and get those final donations in.

You're Mo legends.

I wear these swim shorts all the time.
Not only are they stylish but they also make the swim a Lidl bit faster.

52 Week(s) Ago

Have really bad cold/flu but still went to work and then the pool.
In the water, I have no symptoms. Maybe it's because my body is going into survival, "don't drown" mode, so it turns down the pain receptors and stuff?

Good luck Liam! A tough challenge, but I am sure you'll smash it!

52 Week(s) Ago

Getting a bit worried now. With the bad shoulder and now, I assume flu.
I don't think I can swim for a couple of days!

It's going to come down to the wire, next week.

Hoping Lemsips sort me out, today.

52 Week(s) Ago

Feeling awful. 3 hours sleep due my body betraying me, once again.
But managed a swim this morning. The plan was 3 swims today but that's not going to happen.

53 Week(s) Ago

Nice chunk done, today. Enjoyed todays swims, it was nice to take it easy.

53 Week(s) Ago

No room for error now. Being very careful with pace and stretching before and after.
15 seconds slower per 100m means I'm having to still swim 1-2 times a day, just to keep on track.

53 Week(s) Ago

Having to take it much slower. I need to do 2km a day, for the rest of the month. No room for further injury or rest.
Both shoulders are now weaker and hurting. This is the first time I have been held back by the limits of my body and it's pretty awful.
Getting to 60km before November is over will really be a challenge, now.
Fortunately, I was able to draft behind other people, tonight making things easier.
I'm also very grateful for my pool pals, Neil and Martin, for keeping me motivated and moving!

54 Week(s) Ago

Shoulder is a bit better but have to swim much slower to avoid further damage.
This means I may not manage the full 60km by end of November as my speed is now halved :/

You've got this Liam!

54 Week(s) Ago

This one was a real struggle. Only just made it to the 2k point. Had to do some back stroke and 1 handed. Slammed my head into the side at full speed doing backstroke as well!
Right shoulder is very sore, so I'm a bit worried about that. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.
If not, I will have to try backstroke, more which is much slower, not good...
