My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

In March 2020, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Following treatment / surgery it seems I have been lucky enough to rid myself of it, some other men are not as lucky....

I was asked by my best mate Tom, to join him and his university friends this November to raise money for the Movember charity. A close friend of his university friendship group was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2017, he passed away in 2018. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to meet Luke but he was known as a top bloke who is truely missed by friends, families and all that knew him.

The challenge is to run, cycle, row or swim 513.5 miles / 827 km EACH over the 30 days of November.

By doing this challenge I hope to raise some money for the charity but more so to raise awareness for men to check themselves, go to the doctors the day you feel something is wrong. A 10 minute embarrassing (it's not so bad) consult with a GP and losing a bollock is way better than leaving it too late and potentially losing your life - trust me!!

Leading on from this, mental health and suicide prevention.... I have worked in a notoriously stressful job for just shy of 12 years. We don't have to be tough all the time. Take the time for yourself, to speak with others - friends, family, colleagues or a medical professional. I would rather take a phone call from a friend at anytime no matter what I'm doing, than to find out they felt they were in a darker place than they could ever pull themselves from. You are never in a battle on your own. You are never worthless or hopeless. Let's help each other out.

I will post updates daily throughout November, any donations are welcome, along with support, requests (for the right price $$$!!) and abuse and banter as standard!

Thanks for reading.
