My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

I know it’s hard for everyone at the moment with Covid19 but any donations to my Movember effort this year would be greatly appreciated! It’s in support of men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate and testicular cancer charities, which now more than ever could do with a boost. Male suicide rates continue to be a major issue in the UK and the effects on mental health due to the pandemic are yet to be fully realised. Movember on the face of it seems a bit of silly banter, however it’s actually a great conversation-starter, ice breaker to raise awareness, get men talking about mental health and break down the stigma for men to look after their health and seek help when they need it.
I will be growing an awful moustache for the month but in addition to this, to help justify a donation, I’ve decided to challenge myself to running a total of 409km’s (13/14k per day) in November - 409 being the average number of men in the uk who take their own lives each month.
I’m calling on all my mates to do the equivalent of ‘buying me a pint’ with a donation.
Thank you for the support!
