Movember Leaderboards are now officially closed (+ a day, bcuz exams)
Our University challenge had 500 members across 54 teams and moved a total of 10859.44 km.
This year's campaign is the second-highest campaign at UofG and we were justttt slightly shy of £40,000 (Movember HQ took a team away, Liam says "it's more of a feeling of longing" now, because we had reached £40k then got BOOTED down)... anyways.
While the month is over, the fight for mental health and destigmatizing masculinity is still as important as ever. Movember is an amazing cause as it manages to put a bit of humour into incredibly serious and important issues like testicular and prostate cancer, so we urge you to keep the lessons for the next 11 months, and then it'll already be time for Movember 2025!!
It's been a big privilege to help coordinate the charity this year and our committee would like to thank each and every MoBro/Sis for the diligent work. It was so much fun seeing creative challenges and people push themselves for a good cause--Movember is all about Havin' Fun Doin' Good, and we did exactly that.
This month we came together and it's a powerful reminder that through community and compassion, we not only combat physical health challenges but also build a foundation for mental well-being. Because problems shared are problems halved.
Thank you for a mo-numental month
Yours,
Cecilia and Liam
