94km in 24 Hours

Why 94km? On average, there are 94 male suicides per week in the UK. In the UK, suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 45.

This year, over the course of 24 hours, I will be running 94km to raise awareness and funds for Movember. I am hoping that by challenging myself in this way, I can raise awareness about the men around the world who are having to face their challenges on their own. For too long, men have felt like they can't talk about their issues or that they have to 'tough it out' or 'man up' and do it on their own. By breaking down the stigma around talking about these issues, we can help to save men's lives around the world.

Ed your fundraising is absolutely inspiring, and the amount you've managed to raise is jaw dropping. Really amazing to see the work you put into this every year, and you genuinely inspired me to start my own fundraiser this year. Keep fighting the good fight!

Hi Ed,

I wanted to get in touch personally to say thank you for your amazing fundraising so far – you’re a Mo Legend! We truly appreciate it, this year even more than ever. I'm sorry you didn't get to do the NY marathon but hope the one you did take on went well.

Because of you, we are able to change men’s lives with tools such as Movember conversations - an interactive platform that gives you the skills and confidence to approach difficult conversations. Check it out at conversations.movember.com

Thank you – keep up the great work!

Next weekend we want to see your Match Day Mos, your moustache at its finest. Dye your Mo (or draw one in team colours) and share on social, tagging @Movember. Show us your #MatchDayMo, raise some dough and help change the face of men’s health.

Hi Ed,

My name’s Owen, and I’m the CEO here at the Movember Foundation. I just wanted to get in touch personally to say congratulations and thank you, for kicking off your Movember in such a big way. £907 is fantastic!

To help you understand the impact of your efforts, our team have put together this video, it profiles some of the fantastic projects we’re currently funding here in the UK.

Keep up the great work, and if there’s anything at all that we can help you with please do get in touch with us at Mo HQ - info.uk@movember.com .

Mo on,
Owen

Thank you to all the rugby teams that have taken part in Movember this year. Together, you’ve raised over £200,000. You can be incredibly proud of your contribution this far.

We freeze the leaderboards on Movember.com at 10pm on the 7th of December. If you’re looking to beat your local rivals in the challenge, get your donations in before then. You can still pay in donations all year round. Shout out to our top three teams so far, Aberdeen University, UCL and Northampton Saints- sterling efforts.

If you need any assistance, please get in touch with Mo HQ at info.uk@movember.com or call 0207 952 2060.

Thank you.

It’s just over one week until the end of Movember. The top fundraising team in the Rugby Challenge will be rewarded with a Movember trophy, but who will walk away with the bragging rights between you and your local rivals? Check out the leaderboard and set yourself a target this moustache season. Email info.uk@movember.com for fundraising ideas and info. Above is a photo of the Northampton Saints team with last year's trophy.

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
