This year, we’re encouraging people to don their running shoes and Move. Walk, jog, run (or even hop…), it’s important to simply get moving.

And that’s why for the 8th Movember 'running' (sorry), MoRuns will return to 16 different locations across the UK, so whether you’re a Liverpudlian or a Londoner, you can get involved in a 5km or a 10km to fundraise for men’s health.

The MoRunning team are old hands at encouraging fundraisers to release their inner Farah - but this year they’ve gone one better. Mr Motivator – yes, the very same 90’s television sensation - will be on hand to ensure that everybody is ‘getting wicked’.

Funds raised by MoRunners have always gone directly to Movember, to help ensure men live happier, healthier and longer lives. Dave Krangel, the founder of MoRunning, set it up to ensure that fundraising stayed fun: “I loved the idea of creating a running project that supported men’s health, a charity that’s very close to my heart and that of my family”.

So what is the advice of a founder with eight years experience in overseeing MoRuns? It’s a simple ask: “enjoy it and soak up the atmosphere”.

Of course, MoRunners who want to take it that little bit further are encouraged to use the day to showcase their Mo, get into fancy dress or take part in a ‘Muddy MoRun’ – with prizes reserved for the top fundraisers. Nothing quite beats some healthy competition. Check out who's top of the leaderboard, here.

If you’re seeing too little of your mates and too much of your desk these days, sign up and raise at a MoRun. Your health won’t be the only thing to benefit. Find a MoRun near you, here.
