With 100 days to go until the return of the Rugby League Ashes series, we’re proud to announce a brand-new partnership that brings men’s health to the very heart of the action.
Movember is now the official mental fitness partner of the England Rugby League team. Kicking off a powerful collaboration just in time for our busiest and most impactful time of year.
This October and November, England take on Australia in a historic three-match Ashes Series at some of the nation’s biggest venues. The series will take place at Wembley Stadium, Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium, and AMT Headingley Stadium.
But this series is about more than what happens on the pitch. Together with Rugby League Commercial, we’re using the spotlight of international sport to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health.
It’s a natural partnership. Rugby League is deeply rooted in local communities and those are the same places where we’re making the biggest impact. It’s a shared commitment to breaking the silence, opening up conversations, and supporting men across the UK to live happier, healthier, longer lives.
This isn’t our first time teaming up with Rugby League. Through our award-winning Ahead of the Game programme, designed by Movember and delivered by Rugby League Cares, we’ve already reached over 30,000 young players (aged 12–18) across the UK each year.
The programme teaches players how to spot the signs of mental health issues, speak up, and support each other. It’s received incredible feedback from clubs, parents, and young athletes alike.
Now, with this official partnership in place, we’re taking that energy and scaling it even further… with exciting activations to come across the Ashes Series.
“This collaboration brings men’s health to the forefront during a landmark Series. Rugby League’s connection with its communities is second to none — and with Movember, we can reach more men, earlier, and support them to lead longer, healthier lives,” – Bobby Bahadori, Commercial Director, RL Commercial
In the run-up to the Ashes Series, you’ll see plenty more from Movember across Rugby League. From community events and fundraising to major match day moments.
We’re calling on all fans, players, and clubs to get behind the cause. Whether you grow a Mo, start a conversation, or donate, you’ll be helping to change the face of men’s health.
